  • Insects (for lunar glide)

    Vigilant keepers
    Of the most ancient wisdom
    The first aviators
    Who surveyed the land
    And reconnoitred from above

    Amid horsetail ferns
    Mosses and liverworts
    Your continuous thrum was unseen
    But like background radiation
    Always there

    To what god
    Were your flags of allegiance
    Proudly raised
    If only I could acquire
    That truth from you

      Yet not unseen,
      before the wing
      came the eye
      that lurking
      danger might espy

Johntee, did you look at my message as of yet? Love the lines, "before the wing / came the eye" - simple but profound!

Tanner, thanks for the nudge. I've just read your message
and responded. In the interests of security
          "Please Burn After Reading."

You are a great observer Tanner! And you write your observations into beauty.
