Milk is souring in the morning sun,

flies are buzzing round one by one,

this is life in the Millennium,

lap it up and pass it on,

    make tomorrow more flavoursome.

The bird that picks at the crocodile's jaws

makes its living from remnant cause.

Peg teeth, failing to cut and grind,

    leave decaying flesh behind.

    Every niche in Ecology

    is a home-place for diversity.

Another creative and easy-on-the-ear treatment of life. Thanks for this one.

In this cold, wet corner of the U.K. we are suffering
too much heat, or more specifically my garden is
(30 lobelia planted, 17 still surviving, just; under
hosepipe ban and libation by watering can)
so my rhyme drifted from the actuality
of flies buzzing in,when we don't have screen doors,
to the primeval reversion under climate change
of JG Ballard's novel " The Drowned World."
