  • Rose scented

He prays for the rose scented

    gift of her presence

    Bringing summers warmth

    to melt his eager heart

Greeted by his tongue tied gaze

    Silenced by the divine

    Fingers find their reflection

    Entwining with gentleness

    Breathing in her existence

    Her essence his dream

    Lips caress and linger

    Her fragrance overwhelms

I like the title, which definitely stood out to me... Not too terribly deep, just a shade or hint at the reality behind the words.
Light love, it seems, and it reminds me of being fond of people -- for specific reasons like the "rose scent".

That tied the poem up well, giving it a well rounded theme. Thank you for sharing!

Oh so lovely and romantic, Jon. Speaks to me of the intoxication of being with the one you love! Thank you.
