  • The White Plague (formerly Yawn)

    Mother smiles at her boy
    Then dies of consumption

Later the boy is told what
    Happened - He will not

Let them take her away in
    The horse drawn hearse

    At night he sneaks outside
    To chop down its wheels

With a blue axe - The boy
    Feels his mother’s gaze

    As she wonders where her
    New residence will be

Cool, I like what you did here, it set up a nice movement of elements. The end slightly reminds me of an ending to a poem I wrote a while ago. "I fall asleep pondering// What will they name me tomorrow?"

    Cool poem, peace.

      No longer balanced
by the white death, the blue axe
      becomes a question.
