As I read this I walked through the old, forgotten house. I heard the music and watched the elegant couples laugh and waltz around the ball room as the crystalline light reflected their joy.
Then I was lead down a dark, dank passageway at the end of which was a door labeled “TRUTH". Beyond the door, hidden from the dancers and the joy and the music, dwelt loneliness, pain, emptiness and tears.
Both the splendor and the squalor tell the story of life. What a vivid metaphor.
