  • Me Too.

I'm sitting in the evening cool.
    Muted sunlight filtering through branches
    of mighty trees.

    Nature’s wrapping up the day.
    The air is still…silent.
    A dog barks, “I’m here,
    scratch my ears.”
    A baby cries, “I'm here,
    hold me.”

    A single bird calls out,
    Me too…me too…me too.

Great observational piece rhyme-time ! Sounds like a wonderful way to end the day. It's below freezing where I'm at right now, so not much outside activity. It's nice to be reminded by this that spring is on the way! Thanks.

Sometimes in winter I bundle up and sit outside. Winter seems to me the most silent season. It is then that voices can be heard most clearly and aloneness seeps into the soul. It is then that the simple sounds remind you, you are not alone

This gave me a sense of wonderment.

How kind you are. Those simple sounds, singular with the back drop of silence, serve to remind me that I am not alone

    Nicely paced,
    though I would place
not spring but summer at its root.

      Many thanks
One can pick any season. It is more a state of mind than a time or place

Calm, peaceful, reflective. You helped quiet my day, rhymetime. (Truth be told, not at all what I expected from the title.)

I gave some thought to the title given the birth of the recent movement. Finally decided- what the hell
I am gratified that it brought you peace and calm

Thank you for reading and commenting.

I felt you well conveyed the vulnerability winter brings when our summer cockiness leaves us and we sit on the brink of the deep sleep. Loved it!
