Sadly, scalpels, saline solutions, and suction machines in the wrong hands elicit not a peep from those who make the laws.

Didn’t the government attack David Koresh and the Branch Dravidians with a tank. Seventy nine dead, women and children.

I’ve got my Bible in one hand but I’m afraid to load my gun.

So here goes, Never been a shooting at a Catholic school or charter for that matter, no crazies allowed. If you have a good lawyer they can’t keep you out of a public school. 1962 prayer in public school was banded, God works in? well who’s to say. How many babies killed today, oh wait their not in school, only the womb, who cares.

Brilliant and succinct. Throw them out of office - they who are only interested in self-preservation, power and greed.

It always seem to boil down to power and greed.

    No amendment is even necessary.

As the Supreme Court frankly stated in
    District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008):

Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, concealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues.

The Court’s opinion should not be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.

    What reason
    can amend a constitution
    Ten? A hundred? A thousand?
    States have wasted millions
for ideological purity. The twisted mind
    still comes back for more.

    The nation's children weep.
    Their innocence snuffed out
    like so many fallen companions.
Struck down by an assassin's gun.
    Pleading with their elders
    for the peace that springs
    from reasoned measures.
    Thwarted
    by the electoral purse.
    Sacrificed
at the altar of their greed.

    All the while,
    the statesmen,
    parrot perfunctory prayers
    even as they
    leave our children
    sighted in the scope.
