    Battlecry

I call upon the solemn scribes
    Passion of Parkinson's poets
    The bloggers of autobiography
And those who post their support

    Mobilise the English Languauge
    In the battle for belief
    Wirh the intensity of hope
    We can retain our identity

    Although Parkinsons rattles a sabre
With strength we shake a spear
Our pen is mightier than its sword
My pound of flesh never surrendered

In full confidence of our worth
We shall light wherever it reaches
    Never a verse neglected
We shall fight as it beseeches

    After our summers of content
    Our voices spring with hope
    Despite frozen winters occupation
    Now we must roam indeed

Carry on the struggle to the last
    Syllable of our reported rhyme
    Perspire though in it's grip
    Inspire with lyrical bond

    Beset by a tyranous foe
    Menaced without subjugation
    Parkinson's bestrides our world
Never takes charge of your soul

Strong rallying cry Jon! I particularly like 'Inspire with lyrical bond'. This should get many likes - it is both witness and invitation.

Hello Parkinsonspoet, A call to words and so beautifully hailed, I must say. A poem for all poets by a poet for all of them. Oozing inspiration. Excellent! Well done indeed. Fond regards, Tony.

Thank you Tony I wanted to write a rousing poetic speech and feel I achieved that. Words can have power and we should never underestimate how privileged we are to write
