    Burning Desire

    Minimal touch, emotions intense
    Releasing yearnings makes no sense
Thus far chaste yet drawn to light
Flint struck souls may fuse, ignite

    Sparking flames, burning desire
    Explore unknown, hand in fire
Scorched, burnt, from flames we reel
Yet burning embers hearts do steal

Damp it down, put it out
    Now suppress, smother doubt
    or
    Fuel the flames, abandon fear
    Yield to meld: passion’s sear

Hello Karen, Flint struck souls may fuse, did it for me, after that it was all burn baby burn. Let the passion sear, I say, and to hell with the consequences. A hot verse indeed, one could fry an egg on it! Very well composed, well done! Take care now, Tony.

Thank you, Tony, glad it warmed you up. However being from the green isle you'll know you can get flint in any graveyard and passion, well it's called heavy rain in Ballymena lol

Thank you, @ lunar glide. In this cold weather, even heat from a poem is welcome. Thanks for stopping by.

This so eloquently expresses the push and pull, danger and excitement of passion.
