Becalmed in a moment of repose

As the leaves shimmy in the shy breeze

Shivers flit across arm's exposed skin

Goosebumps rise emboldened by the chill

    Statuesque as his eyes admonish

Self centred grey clouds that hoard the sun

His only entourage drifts through sky

    As he embraces natures solitude

Solar gaze peeps through cumulus curtains

Briefly standing in it's line of sight

    Radiance warming a welcome smile

He steps forward to face life's challenge

A vivid picture painted with your penbrush Jon and I like the positive ending.

Beautiful imagery here Parkinsonspoet! 'leaves shimmy', 'goosebumps...emboldened' and so many more deliciously phrased morsels. I like how this shows that solitude doesn't have to be lonely. There is beauty around to be had and you've captured it - both in word and in spirit.
