    Winter dream

Like bubbles, snow flakes float in the crisp cold air

pure white blanket covers the entire landscape

Now and then there are crystal trees sparkling like faceted diamonds

Looking out the window I am captivated by this heavenly virginal white scene

Were i to step out into it, I would feel like an intruder on this pure scene

My footsteps would imprint and alter such a perfect canvas

So in awe and reverence I peer out my window afraid that any movement

Will melt and alter such beautiful perfection

The Sun begins to warm the air - the end of this winter dream

ephemeral the light which passes through, and ends the day in thaw. Lovely winter poem.
I enjoy it for what it says, and we know there is chance for more ... Snow!
Fluffy bright snow which hasn't been touched. That is a wonderland, you've captured well.

I love that you draw on the intrusion into this pristine world happening on the other side of your window. Beautiful poem ATL! Lovely details.

I know this feeling Alexandra. I've had it myself, and really admire how you've captured it here.

I especially enjoy the hoarfrost on the trees, ah but I hear my snow shovel calling.

Hello AlexandratheLate, Thawing out of a winter's dream in a most romantic fashion. Who would dare to stain such a scene. A lovely, lovely poem, and all through a window framing the light. Fond regards, Tony.
