  • If in this storm I fall

If in this storm I fall

    Ringed with experience
    Wrinkled with care
    At witnessing your pleasure
Or when your fears I share

    I hold many names
    Close to my heart
    I am oh so bereft
    When we have to part

    I mourn your sister’s passing
    When I cast my shade
    Celebrate your arrival
    With seeds, I have made

    My jewels are stolen
    My gold has been sold
    Perhaps I don’t need them
    Perhaps I’m too old

    Yet still when you visit
    I’ll raise a smile
    Put on my jewellery
    For another wee while

    I’ll add one more ring
    My commitment to all
    Will they mourn my passing
If in this storm I fall?

Hi Bobby; I was thinking of the sisterhood of seasons with this one but it can have many interpretations; I like yours too.. Many Thanks

Sisterhood of seasons? Now that just sounds like another title begging to have a poem behind it. Beautiful.

This is a beautiful poem, whether read literally or metaphorically.

      Replete with gorgeous, romantic phrases!

      Surely, one of my favourites!
