I was actually going to start the poem with dripping, dripping, dripping, dripping at one point so you are spot on with my intent.
This was very fun to write and I'm happy to see it was understood (if painfully).
Also, I stumbled on this new word when researching. Misophonia - dislike or aversion to sound

Great use of alliteration, and overall diction.
Evokes the sensation of Chinese Water Torture!
Extremely effective!

Success then. I have a definite sense of general anxiety after writing it. It's amazing how painful that many hard consonants can be string together like that. Thanks for the comment.

This almost hurts to read! If you wanted a sound explosion in the reader's brain - it worked that way for me. I felt like I was in a construction zone!

Cacophony
Breaking, bashing, creaking, crashing
Pandemonic pounding pain
Reverberating bone to brain
Slamming, smashing, thrumming, thrashing
Mechanical chaotic quake
Echoing; can't concentrate
Scraping, scarring, jangling jarring
Bastard, broken beat becomes
Endless, dreadful demon drums
Maiming, marring, ringing, roaring
Blaring banging babel beats
