Crow Road Revisited 28th Oct. 2017

    In a moment

    caught in time

    we are fellow-travellers,

I at the wheel, he at the elbow.

With steady stroke in still air,

    sober suited, slow rowing Crow

holds place till, with a fall of land,

    released he pulls away

    and I, tarmac bound,

    follow a different furrow.

How can the destination be the only thing in question. Has I turn the page.

      Thanks Grant. In the revision
it turned out less was more.

Thanks Alex, an incident from early summer
whose first draft didn't focus on the coincidence
of time and place alone and was the weaker for it.

This is a razor sharp poem!

    Clarity in brevity takes skill.

    You have displayed that here.

Thanks Dwayne. Usually when I come back to things, they turn out worse.

Nice trip, Johntee! Going together, separately, or going separately together.
