    WHO WILL BELL THE CAT?

A story is told of a community of rats
Long tormented by the iniquity of a cat
They called a huge conference of all
To jointly deliberate once and for all
    A momentous decision was reached
Rat was found guilty as impeached
    And a solution loudly pronounced
    Roundly and proudly announced
The cat was to be immediately belled
Thereafter no rat would ever be killed
    As decision was cheerily received
Deep sighs of relief were heaved
Their grief would finally be all over
Peace at last with the war then over
    After duly congratulating each other
Looking at their genius with wonder
    The multitudes turned to disperse
Happy with their blow to the curse
    Whereupon a small inconvenient rat
Aware of the ways of the dreaded cat
Raising a timid finger to spoil the show
Of the multitudes who claimed to know
He braved the hugely irritated stares
And timidly moved to dim their stars
    Quietly highlighting his uneasiness
On noting a small unfinished business
For in the details he saw a little devil
That ensured continuation of the evil
With none assigned to bell the cat
The conference seemed a pointless chat

It's all in the details and fine print sometimes, isn't it? Very clever Emmanuel Zodzington. Welcome to the Rhymezone!

A fun retelling of the cat belling... well, plan. Nicely done, EZ!
