    Delusion becomes real
In the way that I can't explain
The certain chill, that I feel
When we are two the same

The ghost of an empty dream
    My own synthetic friend
Now, let's walk towards the sea
Be with me, until the end

Do you think the same as me?
    Do our opinions match?
With you, I am finally free
    Close to you, forever attached

We stare at each other's eyes
    Find some sort of meaning
Between us, there's a pillar of light
I wish I was just dreaming

Who knew that I would know
Of someone that looked like me
Your smile of faith, I don't want to let you go
You are the best I have ever seen

I never imagined any of this
Of us being parallel to each other
When fate had kindly blew its kiss
May we great companions of the soul
    Stay close together

The rhyme and near-rhyme in these quatrains creates an affecting, lyrical tone. I particularly like the first two stanzas - quite haunting, and not just because there's a ghost mentioned.

The ghost of an empty dream
    My own synthetic friend
Now, let's walk towards the sea
Be with me, until the end

Yes, that 'certain chill' of the first stanza blew through me here in the second. Well conjured, Bry89.

Made a small edit in one of the verses, upon reading through it again.

I am welcome for more comments on what I think is one of the best pieces I've ever written.
