  • The Philanthropy of Light

    Happy are the stars
    who find peers like us
    luminaries
    facing a blank universe
with only the right to shine
    fighters against
    the essence of darkness
    with nothing except tears
    untainted by triumph

    May our light
    never outshine our unlimited towards
    call it our family
    our homeland
    our tiny hands
    full of wishes
    those amazing treasures
    not to be tautly held.

This articulates exactly and beautifully something that I often feel, but have not distilled into words. You speak for my heart here, lunar glide.

LG, the title itself made Tanner call 911 and use a hand-held defibrillator> just brilliant!!!!! After reading all of the above comments, I bow down in reverence to the beauty of this poem.

LG - this reads like a wish to me, a soft-spoken affirmation, voiced in hope. Beautiful!
