  • has yellow ever called to you

    has yellow ever
    called to you
    clearly spoken out your name
    you walked along
    a street
    open markets
    bustling stares
    a smell here savory
    a succulent taste there
    when the daffodils
    the daffodils in April
    as you succumb
    to their color
    sing till June
    bitter taste of coffee
    sharp desert plants
    chase you weary to
    honey from a narrow path
    where sun witnesses
    rings of marigold
    clear timbre pure
    regally shining
    go for it
    grab it
    get some my friend
    glory is calling
    hear your name
    sail away
    on the light
    of this day.

Upbeat tune here Suz-zen. Your reflective 'slice of life' pieces capture wisps of experiences and turn them around for perusal. It sounds like you had a good time with this one!

You give us eyes to see within the blooming pollenating sunflower. I've got yellow fever now

Bobby, the sunflower is one that makes me HAPPY!!! Take an aspirin for the fever and a cool compress!

It reminded me a lot of a painting! Nice little walk through, shall I use the word "quaint"?
    Pretty inspiring to me...

Ah, an homage to happy yellows. Very nice, Suz-zen! It brings forth happy yellow thoughts. Forsythias, the sign of spring. ''Yellow bird, up high in banana tree'' - Kingston Trio, ''Yellow moon, yellow moon, \ why you keep peeping in my window?'' Neville Brothers.

Thank you for introducing me to these new yellows!! I love them all. Yellow bird in a banana tree, Forsythias, and the Neville Bros yellow moon!! Appreciate this !

I like how you've placed the line breaks here, Suz-zen - that effect whereby the logical thread moves through charged fragments, all at once, drawing in the reader with unmarked enjambment. You've communicated a happiness here that is not saccharine or trite, and it has induced me to summon up yellowness in my experience. I was transported back to the common yellow lawn-flowers that used to entrance me as an infant.

The line breaks were something I spent a lot of time with. I played with this and moved them around and you taught me about the importance of this ! Thank you for making note of this !
A trip back to infancy perhaps crawling on the lawn? Oh grant! This image I adore !! Thank you for reading and commenting so!
