  • The Yezidi's Owne ---

    Blue Skyes--

In the depth of the Cherry-bowl
Of this, our Merry Streaming Cloude--
    In distance undeterred, formes
Blest and crost, but blurr'd -- Sounde.
    How else than what becomes?--
Suede, to velvet, to Orionese, founde.
    Unto Øbsidian beneath waves,
The frothe kicked up, our murk round
Statue of Children under the deeps.
    Øœania-- My Myrmidean Dawn --
No mistake, but the ones They Create
Each time they try to Win, and break-in.
    Now, such Wrath, such love, Agapë;
All the actors, all in this Lovely Play:
How do you Answer to God,-- Beauty?
Do you Repress what is Not Yours
To Touche? As if your words meant
    Anything. The Yezidi's being gathered,
The bone taken from the Hell-Hound's
Rough and tired Jaw. My stylistic Exposé
The pattern formed, the mother Frog-
I am here, I came home, for you, for Us.
Now, please, These streets are Mine
    To clean; the Heptadic Empire-Republic
Ours to Claime: No more fealty, at all.
Within our own, we prosper; allow thou
Peaceful respite, for Hell, and Heaven,
Thus transformed; I guarde Our Gate.
The sneaking Serpent. His humility ---
How late, four-square to his Tongue.
I have no qualms, no qualms at all ...
The sickle turned blue, in this Skye Burial!~~.

This sounds a powerful tale of reclamation to me. Am I near correct - or far off base?

RhymeLovingWriter I would agree your summation but it is a tale I know little of. Yezidis who are from Kurdistan and indeed are oppressed but perhaps amenOra. could enlighten us of the background

Relates to Melek Taus, and PreHistory. I bend light to my own Raye, I suppose; No, it is true -- I do. I always will. I stande alone.

After being committed to an institution for the weekend, a fight with my familye where I was restrained, and a bit injured, I come to the idea of Blake's "North" where . Self is Alone. Not EVEN self. In this place, one is so completely PITIFUL.

Plus, the entendre of "PITI" works, too, but I am always still learning! Thank you. What is "reclamation"?

        Thankye.

Thank you for answering with a reference. I read a bit about Melek Taus and the background. It's interesting. I also read a bit about Blake (because I had not as yet) but could find no piece of poetry titled "North".

I feel sorrow at the description of your hellish weekend. I hope things can improve for you quickly.

To me reclamation is a positive stance in which a person (or people) throws off the expectations of others and claims responsibility for oneself. These lines sound it most strongly for me:

Now, please, These streets are Mine
          To clean; the Heptadic Empire-Republic
Ours to Claime: No more fealty, at all.
Within our own, we prosper; allow thou
Peaceful respite, for Hell, and Heaven,
Thus transformed; I guarde Our Gate.

Sky burial deals with "Zoroastrianism" and that stream of thought, pretty much.

They buried the bodies, yet in a sort of tower, and birds pecked and ate and disease rode, pestilant, over the land, i would imagine. I am in ruby worlds.
