  • Cornish Pasty

    Steak and Stilton
    or Lamb and mint
    Tempting morsals
    But take a hint

    The best crimping
    Comes from at home
    Onion and swede
    Mouth waters foam

    Adding skirt beef
    Potato too
    Inside pastry
    Simple to do

    But nothing beats
    Mothers baking
    Just take a bite
    Tastebuds quaking

This is a lovely tribute Jon. Just in time for Mother's Day too!

Well, I learned something new again today - I never knew of the date difference! Do you celebrate Father's Day too, and when would that be? I like your marketing tactics too.

Fathers day is the third Sunday in June. I did intend to try and promote the book for mothers day as it had a connection being partly dedicated to my Mum but my initial problems with self publishing made it unavailable until after the UK Mothers day

Hello Parkinsonspoet, I had my first Cornish Pasty in London, Wimbledon Village, and beautiful it was, it's the swede that gives it that culinary kick, the kick that makes you want for more. A most delicious poem. Well done! Regards, Tony.
