    Look into the mirror
    And see yourself, in disdain
If you were given an option
    What can you change?

    So disturbed, insecure
    Never see yourself again
If you could have just one wish
    To change everything
Will life still remain the same?

    The advertisments
    These magazine cut-outs
You wish you were this happy
    But you're lost in doubt

You wish you can be as
    Perfect as all others
If you can take the little risk
    To change everything
Will it one day end your suffer?

    Look into the mirror
    And see yourself, once again
Use the knife and carve yourself
    Let the process begin

    (Cut to bleed to repair)
(Cut to bleed to mend, never so scared)

    (Cut to bleed to repair)
(Cut to bleed to mend if you can dare)

    Now, look at yourself again
Are you happy? Are you satisfied?
Stupid bitch, look what you've done
    Can't even hold yourself together
    Just to stay alive

These incisions, the blood on your skin
    Monstrosity in the mirror
The stitches of what is left now
    Beauty disfigured

Bry89, My daughter suffered from this in her teenage years.

Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. Hope she's over that now.

That's a dark tale Bry89. Poignant reminder that happiness starts on the inside. It makes you wonder how the ads can have such impact - but they surely do.

They are - in a dangerous way. Recently, there was an ad for a company called MYA that would trigger such thoughts to young girls out there and apparently, there's a law in process for those to be outlawed.
