  • Moving On

    Moving on.
    It doesn't mean you have to change who you've become;
    Just the lens through which you see
    The person you could be
    And rise above.

    Moving on.
    It doesn't mean you have to leave it all behind;
    Just the version of the past
    That you have trapped
    Within your mind.

    Moving on.
    It doesn't mean you will forget what's comes before;
    But that first you must forgive
    So you can finally live
    And become more.

    Moving on.
    It doesn't mean you're giving up or giving in;
    But that you're laying down your guns
    Because you've already won
    The war within.

    Just so. We build on what we have. Very nicely done BiocideJ. The repetition of that first line does help move the motion forward. Nice.

      So true, poet-philosopher!

        This is a road song. Throw down the windows and let the wind blow through your hair on Carefree Highway. I feel the breeze!

          Very perseptive and well presented.
          We always take the past with us. To forget it would cheat us of that which allowed us to move on. After all, everything that went before gave us the power to "Move On"

          Thank you for this verse

            Very well done Biocide. Hopefully we continue to grow without totally losing who we are.
