  • The Sargasso Sea

When down you take my hand
Like a sail removed from sad quiet air
I loiter in the hallways of my my bones
There the hooded lanterns in the fingers begin to shine

    Darkness is no charity
Suddenly I want to be just smallness
What it would be like to be a little fish
Trapped in the sea grasses of your eye

Foreign stars wandering above like gapped teeth
In the mouth of someone else's god
The sea is a translucent grace
    Your face swelling endlessly
