  • Thoughts Ending with a Lament of Pindar

    I have come
    Lately
    To voice wearing
An old hat and carrying a baedeker
    Instead of a piece
    Of broken cloud

    By sleight of the hand
    The wind
Becomes a magnesium flare of touch
    Your face
    A comet descended
    On the length of wishes

I a sciagraphic etching at best
    In Plato's cave find

    More often
    Joy deciphered as a deja-vu
    Of you
Such saving in the order of thought
    is all I have left

    The stars and the rivers
    and waves call you back

Grant, your judgments are always Delphic in origin.
