Old bridge, thread upon by flocks

    Sheepish grin, stand worthy

    Who’s marked accomplishment

    Framed history, how it yeans

    Across the Swilken burn

    Timeless dreamers

    Lost pastures, even greener

    Scottish lore, the greats

    Come now participate

    Ten times beyond my age

    One picture left to stage

    Old bridge

    Feel my weight.

I had to research this bridge and when I did your poem came to life. You captured it's storied, stony past divot. Love this!

I'm with you Bobby, and what a great job you've done divot! Have you already been? The ending of the poem sounds as if you perhaps have plans to go again? Lovely capture of a beautiful place with special memories.

I had a picture of me and my boys on the bridge, but it didn’t attach.
It was my Xmas present, eight days in Scotland last august.

Hello Divot, The art of poetry, this one. Has a beautiful quaintness about it. Serene and majestic in all. Beautiful. Regards, Tony.
