    The Arborist---LumberJane

I make a pretty good living, where "money grows on trees"
my friends call me "crazy", call me LumberJane please
Ropes, saws and harnesses, the working tools of my trade
my mornings. noons, and dusk, are spent working the blade

I've always loved big trees, my youth I fondly remember
this little girl sought adventure, a tomboy tree branch bender
The views from the top of a Juniper, continue to liberate soul
long days spent in the forest, sun sets and I am whole

An every day occurrence, nicks and cuts along my arms
doesn't minimize my passion, my "forever forest" charms
A simple life I'm living, and I sleep like a log at night
a sense of pride worth giving, to my friends shaded in light

They say this job's for the boys, the ladies will never cut it
but that's just one of their ploys, I'll show them I am fit
When a tree falls in the forest, that is my greatest fear
a friend for life's my promise, as I hold you near and dear

No fear of heights apparently! I like the 'lumber Jane' designation in this Bobby!

I'm shamelessly plugging my write today on International Women's Day. I have three daughters and I am very invested in their happiness, well being and expression of their POWER, To all women, you can do whatever you set your mind on. We as men applaud, honor and respect you. After all, we were all brought into this world by our mother- woman.....
