    Like paint they flow
    south to my lips.
    Away in drips
    with hope they go.

    Like paint they hide
    what lies below.
    They sink my woe
    beneath the tide.

    Like paint they smear
    and blot and pock
    my cheeks. They mock
    and shame my fear.

    Like paint they dry
    when I am done -
    the tears that run
    down from each eye.

Top drawer poem, Raoul. Great stuff! And the illustration is top too.

Hello Raoul, With the exception of away, below and beneath the poem is composed in single syllable words and each one, a deft brush of paint completing a work of poetic art. Excellent. Regards, Tony.

This has a lovely flow, Raoul. The tears you've painted with your words.
