    My conscience flickers
    In life's wind
    Dancing for its dinner
    To the playlist
    Of my emotions

    Guilt pride all hide
    As I dowse for
    The water of my soul
    Boiled away by anger
    But restored as it cools

    My soul no longer pure
    Its cherry consumed
    By living
    Shows a rainbow
    Of forgiveness

    My sinful reign
    My inner light
    Processed by understanding
    Makes my soul
    Treasure at its end.

    Inspired by AnatoliyS

This is very beautiful, one of the purest, most honest poems I've read in a while, Jon! You have wonderfully caught many important parts of a spiritual path leading us unto the Inner Light:
    Guilt pride all hide...
    Soul boiled away by anger...
My soul ... shows a rainbow of forgiveness...
Processed by forgiveness makes my soul treasure at its end.
    Truly wonderfully done!

Thank you your poem focussed my mind on some thoughts of my own, but this poem would not exist without yours

I agree with AnatoliyS - this is wonderful Parkinsonspoet. It sounds a deeper vibe than your usual fare - and I can see the interplay between your work. This is one of the things that makes me happiest about the zone - how we learn and grow and are inspired by one another!

I agree it is great to see how someone else addresses the same idea

Reading this again - directly after luxuriating in Grant's piece A Prodigal Spark - is leaving me a little breathless in the zone. So many gorgeous words to soothe the soul. Huzzah! I thank you again.

A touching meditation, Parkinsonspoet, beautifully spare.
