  • "I Grieve With Thee Mine Own Cousin,, (How it should be, in a perfect world)

"I Grieve With Thee, Mine Own Cousin,,

Aye, this life, this death, with these we ought deal,,
At which hour we loseth someone, tis thus unreal,,

Thy teen shalt simply not whither, or wane,,
Relief shall not cometh til gents're beest again,,

With loss, unbearable misery, and woe,,
The time passeth with such a grueling flow,,

While we doth has't the future, and thy hope,,
With the dearth between, we must effort to cope,,

I knoweth all too well thy sorrow, and thy dread,,
Nev'rtheless mine own cousin, endeavor to lift thy head,,

There be'est nothing yond I can ameliorate,,
Tis the "promise" only yond, may venerate,,

I shalt beest thy brother, and thyne own cousin,,
I shall Help thee endureth defeat unto end sullen,,

In thy honour, I shall not falleth short,,
I am but yours to embrace, and THEE, I shalt support,,

"I Grieve With You, My Friends,, (Translation)

This life, this death, With both we must deal,,
When we lose someone, Its all so unreal,,

Our pain will simply not digress, or wane,,
Relief will not come until they're seen again,,

With loss, unbearable misery, and woe,,
The time passes with such an arduous flow,,

While we do have the future, and the hope,,
With the paucity between we must cope,,

I know all too well the sorrow, and the dread,,
Nevertheless my friend, attempt to lift your head,,

There is nothing more that I can ameliorate,,
Its only the "promise" that I may venerate,,

I shall be your brother, and a true friend,,
I'll help you endure defeat until the end,,

In your behalf, I will not fall short,,
I am yours to hold, and YOU, I shall support,,

Thank you my friend, Do you believe the translation to the modern is needed in such poems? Your input as always is welcomed.. Oops, wrong button, I did not intend to make a quote,, lol

Ah yes, I have now delved deep into the rift that is the "former", the "distant past" in fact.. As I believe, a much better time, when chivalry was the order of the day, and honour, a way of life. a time when "English" was indeed a beautiful language.. Before such modern classics as,,, Zup homie?,, and the ever popular, and politically correct,, Piece out bitch..
