  • The one who won

We're made up the same light
    Yet we shine far different,
Inside of me is a fight, no escape
In this world we can't be slave.

    One blink, such innocent face,
    Thousands steps rewind into inexperience,
My eyes can't hide the story,
    With fury it takes control.

I am the one who won.
    In this mind games
    I am one,
    No slave of your thoughts,
    I won.

    Shame comes in many forms,
    Yours is in every bone,
    Mine takes control,
    In this mind games,
    I am one, I won.

Though short, this has the feel of a ballad of one triumphant!

Well done Gerryramona! I am taking this to be about a break up of a relationship but I guess it could be about some other conflict between two people.
      I love the opening lines
"We're made up of the same light
Yet we shine far differently" (I made a few slight grammar changes)

Another nicely done poem, Gerryramona! I feel strength touched with a bit of insecurity int this poem of ending.
