    Fall Morning Meditation (I)

    misted morning
    shrouds creation
    soft illumine –
    touch surreal

    dew-damp mantle
    haunting daybreak
    swirling earth-clouds
    chill to feel

    nestled under
    blaze of beauty
    each beholding
    eye defined

    greet with wonder
    day on dawning
    sun comes calling
    grace to find

Dreamy tribute to a misty morning ending with a distinctly religious reverie! Interesting rhyme scheme, d d ad ad. Lovely piece, RLW!

Thanks MHenry - you found even more rhyme than I knew I had! I was more focused on line syllable count (think Grant got me hooked on that), although I did know that the last line of stanzas 1 & 2 rhymed and 3 & 4 - I hadn't caught the other two in 3 & 4. Going by ear again does that to me I guess. It wasn't really intended to have religious overtones, but I was feeling blessed when I wrote it, so that suggested the title to me. Thanks for the look and lovely comment!

Unbelievably magical! Rhythm is amazing and rhymes are subtle but connecting the piece perfectly! A poem I greet with wonder 10th time in a row!

This makes me so happy to read AnatoliyS! I'm glad the words held magic for you like the vision held magic for me! God's creation is wonderful inspiration for poetry and it was my turn to partake and share!
