    Half Moon

    Half Moon

This evening, I saw a pale gibbous moon
With just the faintest hint of something more
It was much like the way you’ve been lately
Except, eventually, the moon became full

Oooo...I really like the 'feel' of this MHenry. It speaks anticipation, and possibly disappointment, in the same breath. And it's relational - relational poems most always move me. You do a nice job with all things lunar.

Thank you, RLW! You have seen in this little poem exactly what I intended and in the exactly the way I intended. That makes me feel very good!

I did not know what a gibbous moon was. Thank you for increasing my vocabulary today with this enjoyable poem.

It is a strange word, but pregnant with meaning! Thanks for your indulgence!

Thank you, lg, as the driver said when he/she missed the freeway ramp, it's all in the turn!

The gibbous moon, waning, not waxing is one of my favorite phases of the moon and you have really hit this right out of the park MHenry !! Lusciousness!!! This is a beauty!!!!!

This has a casual, conversational feel, yet remains unmistakably poetic.
