Thank you, moonwalker! I wrote this earlier today as a haiku, but was not satisfied. We had a power outage at the office just before closing time, so I came home early and rewrote this as a tanka, with which I am much more pleased.

Yes, Tanner has influenced my writing in general, as have you and others.
The Asian Queen escaped carnage only because I could not find my machete before I finished this piece!

shy sky haiku (inspired by lunar glide comment)

Shy sky, naked dusk
Disrobes to reveal yellow
No longer feels blue

so I guess I was directly and indirectly influenced by lunar glide, too!

In the end though, the whole poem only works because of the scoops!
