"The Waiting Pool"

Most of us have been “On Hold,”
horrendous stories to be told.
Instructions seem from outer space,
in hopes your need to call erase.

Select a number then one more,
makes blood pressure spike and soar.
Passed around and really cruel,
then dumped into the “Waiting Pool.”

Music, ads, and other crap,
no wonder that you almost snap.
Then at last you are rejected,
when your call is disconnected!

But what if while you wait and steam,
you have some place to rant and scream,
with others in the “Waiting Pool,”
wouldn’t that be really cool?

I think that waiting on hold would be more enjoyable if one could curse at the computer on the other end and the computer replied in psychoanalytic calming terms.
