  • For the full sturgeon moon, the moon when all things ripen.

    Seeds and sturgeon
    searched in darkness
    awaiting tonight's truthful moment
    in the most truthful season
    the summer.

    (The most truthful season because
    it is when things ripen
    when invisible interiors
go out as far as they can go.)

Tonight seed and fish and fruit
    and good souls
    have finished mixing with themselves
    to share with the outside
    to mingle until
    even your haze turns red
    in a celestial compote
    from a single womb
    in enjoyment of a moment
    when omniscience is shared
    by all living things
    and all energy
    belongs to love.

we are love tonight, our moon.

    Great line!

Really, the whole thing is a poetic gem.

What a vivid, apt description of spawning, as metaphor for truth!

This is so enchantingly poetic, lg, and the juxtaposition of the cosmos with the mating ritual of all living things in one crimson, celestial brew under a harvest moon heightens the poesy of this lovely piece immeasurably.

I am overjoyed RLW. in a way this could be the purest purpose of poetry, you have expressed it here: to write so readers see a subject through different eyes. thank you for your goodness.

Quite exquisite LG. I love the feeling this evokes like good friend and family with good wine and good food - what more could anyone ask for? And then the glorious moon.
