    Green Thumb Confessions

The workings of late in our garden
Are having me begging your pardon
    The veggies we planned
    With hope to be canned
May leave us with nothing to harden

We’re really quite newbies at growing
It seems that our newness is showing
    With things turning brown
    We’re starting to frown
There’s more that we need to be knowing

This process is one worth the taking
For time and the hopes that we’re making
    We’ll plug right away
    Awaiting the day
    When well-mounded harvest we’re raking

I agree you seem to have a natural talent for these.

Thank you LG. Perhaps I should try more. I'm kind of scattered some days, as each new form arrives in the zone, I hop off to try it. One thing I am learning, through ha'sonnets, and now limericks, is that I enjoy hearing laughter from my writing (I usually run them by my husband before posting and if it's meant to be humorous and he laughs - then I feel more confidence in sharing).

Thanks DWAYNE. I'm hoping to write another one at a later date with a more pleasant outcome.

GREAT! As a gardener of many tears I felt every line in my sometimes green and sometimes brown thumbs. And yes, I laughed heartily! Verse is great, Hope your garden does as well.
