Thanks, RLW! Stay hydrated and try to stay cool. We don't need to clean up more puddles!

Most excellent Muttado1sb! I'm sure all who are presently sweltering would salute you - once they are reconstituted from the puddles they've become.

Thank you, rhymetime! It was written for my daughter last summer when she was house sitting for a relative with no a/c.

Wow, Muttado1sb, you have convincingly described the effects of 'way too hot.' Those lazy summer days! Love the puddle of me!

started a topic A Puddle of Me

    A Puddle of Me

    It is hot.
    Very hot.
    And humid.
    Very humid.
    The type of hot,
    the type of humid
    where any action
    causes an uncomfortable
    reaction.
    Where movement
    uses energy,
    energy that in turn
    creates heat,
    heat that in turn
    requires cooling
    by creating more humidity.
    Humidity that
    starts as sticky,
    sticky turns to damp,
    and damp to wet.
    Strength is sapped
    as energy is used
    and heat created.
    Wetness expands
    as cooling continues.
    Expended,
    I melt
    into
    a puddle of me.
Working...
