  • Love..

    ...is enmeshed
    in vibrating tethers
    stretched out briefly
    by pleasure
    and by sorrow

    A sea playing
    at fleeing
    and returning
to new shores a new ocean
    communicating
    only with the silent sphinx
    the moon

    in vibrations
    and in frequencies
    only Beethoven can hear
in the sway of the ether

    untill the sway itself spins
a vertigo that rearranges the pieces
    while love delights
in rearranging the new immortal puzzle
    kiss by kiss
    almost identical
    but unrecognizable

    the silent sphinx babbling
    sweet nothings again
the yellow just a little bit different...
    almost a cotton ball
the tail of a frolicking deer.

LG, I think Neruda would be jealous that he did not write this. I think that sums up my comments about this lovely work of art.

you are too generous. I am undeservedly honored.

LG, Tanner is usually modest in his remarks; but his nose might have gotten longer had he not told the truth.

This is truly wonderful, lg. Pleasure and sorrow juxtaposed with the ebb and flow of the tides is perfect, and the cotton ball tail is an apt and delicious ending!

lunar glide you have captured the essence right here:
      in vibrations
      and in frequencues
      only Beethoven can hear
in the sway of the ether

Wonderful, LG. I especially like 4th stanza. The whole poem I thought Yeats like in boldness -- taking on so enigmatic an abstraction.

lunar glide i was listening to:
Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2 (Third movement) after reading this and what came to mind was : a vertigo that rearranges the pieces
        while love delights
in rearranging the new immortal puzzle
