  • Summer Days

Remember long summer days of water hose fun.
The laughter and running in steamy hot sun.
I gaze at my children creating fun from the hose.
I love watching the water drip down to their toes.
This life is so young, innocent, carefree.
I cherish these giggles, happiness I see.
They screech as they run under the cold stream.
Then do it again with their hearts all a gleam.
Its a beautiful gift to see them relish this fun.
From a simple tiny spigot where memories
    run.

This is a Norman Rockwell poem. A slice of Americana. Nicely done, Rach79. Those were the days!
