    Victory
    where are your spoils?
    The tragic cost
    of conquest's toils.
    Find liberty to eviscerate,
    the apathetic,
    commiserate.
When comfort is a glassy prison,
    Huxley/Orwell vision
    Realized,
    latent scrape,
    the cataract-ed eyes,
    Is bliss
    a life devoid of tears?
    The privilege
    to languish
    through the years?
    Certainly not!
    For epaulets
    soon come to rot.
    Is comfort
    ever worth the toll?
    Preserving flesh,
    eroding soul?

So deep and worthy of study.
        I especially like

        "Find liberty to eviscerate,
        the apathetic,
        commiserate.
When comfort is a glassy prison,
        Huxley/Orwell vision
        realized."

        Deeply thought and well presented.

Well done, Dwayne, Another shot fired - hitting its mark!
I can see the comfortable glass-bound prisoners nodding their heads in agreement (and making sure their doors are locked).
