    It brings me no pleasure
    to gaze upon you,
    like the victim
    revisited by the crime,
    gifted voluminous
    depictions of the damage.
    My scars need no reminder,
    they bleed well past abrasion.
    Need the surgeon inquire
    about the
    condition of an organ,
    he now holds
    in glassy liquid,
    suspended?
    See how,
    your inquisition,
    leaves me
    upended?

Ouch! This one cuts with precision Dwayne. Very well done - 'my scars need no reminder' - to the bone indeed. Kudos poet!

Inquiring minds drenched in brine don't wanna know. A pleasing write on a painful subhect.

                  Thankfully, those moments have past!

3rd and 4h lines really interesting, not the perpetrator revisiting the crime scene but the crime revisiting the victim -- jumps off the page. Suppose we most often write poetry to work out our stuff with people (and situations) we can't always address in person. An excellent use for the art form. A great write!
