    Passed Away

‘Away to where?’ most innocent queried.
    Passing seemed such stationary act.
    Perhaps the world moved instead?

    Clever, especially the last line.
    Deep write.

Thanks Dwayne. Since it was so short I though maybe to force it into a haiku - but these words seemed to express what I wanted - so I left that plan behind and yielded to my inner voice.

This is properly poetic. It has that certain something that's characteristic of the 'real deal'.

I like your comment Grant, but don't know if I've read enough 'properly poetic' work to fully understand. Can you elaborate on what you mean?

If I could, I would, but I can't. The Tao of the thing. The point of view on which it pivots. I dunno.

It is a lovely write, RLW. And I think the juxtaposition of one person passing as a stationary act vs. the world moving is what makes this special.

It certainly feels like the earth has moved when you lose someone you love.
