    A Pressing Hand

    Beneath a pressing hand
That swore to do me well
    I forfeited my honor there
May its owner burn in hell

Beneath works perfectly well. No 'neath necessary.

I do like a challenge, but I would not want to upset the Sensei!

Sounds like something de niro should have said in the remake of cape fear but i'm sure its more personal than that

Except DeNiro and his predecessor, Mitchum, had no intention of waiting for Hell Fire to exact vengeance. Thanks for the visit and comment The second!

MHenry Why can't I send a deserving louse on a non-stop journey to a place of everlasting torment and torture with a dash of fire and the lovely scent of brimstone in such a succinct way? Damn it I say to myself! I guess i have the fear that I too would end up there. So then why do I want to stand and applaud when I read something like this! Oh i know!! I know!! Anger is healthy right? Silly me! Don't always have to be 'good'!

Seriously, really loved, felt the emotion, and I agree with Parkinsonspoet and grant hayes in just 4 lines you really delivered a big kaPOW!

hahah! never thought of that... but yes, like the powerful haikus and tankas that require paragraphs to explain and for me at times days to really contemplate and process and then even, come back to. I just read again:
        'Beneath a pressing hand
That swore to do me well' and it simply gives me chills... so well crafted!

I am reminded of an earlier post I made entitled The Hypocrite. It is an interesting comparison.
