    DUKE

    Coming dangerously close
    To failure
    Coming dangerously close
    To completion
    Coming dangerously close
    To an ending

La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
I know your eyes are telling me
    Not to
    To believe
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
    Your touch is telling me
    Not to
    To believe
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la,
    Your love is leaving me
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
    I, I know the things I see
La, la, la, la, la, la, la

    Getting dangerously close
    To failure
    Coming dangerously close
    To completion
    Coming dangerously close
    To my ending
    I hate the ending
    I hate the ending
    I hate the ending

I wrote this song for my mom and dad. they were married fifty four years. until cancer took him from her. Its a love song of sorts. She watched him go. We all did

Watching a loved one consumed by cancer is not a fun thing to do. Unique expression of grief, The second. Thumbs up!

Hauntingly beautiful -- so sad - desperation wishing we had the power to alter such a course.

really all I can say is sincerely thank you for sharing this.. it is personal to me because cancer slowly took my mother..and reading your words truly touched my grief.

A sad rememberance, but still captures the love they felt for each other and pointing put you don't have to like the ''do us part.''
