    My beautiful son

Oh my beautiful son with a generous heart
I see the precious man that you have become
From the little boy to the time we’ve been apart
I couldn’t be more proud of the shining outcome

how inquisitive you were when you were a boy,
each day spent with you, I was happy and thankful
the years were filled with so much wonder, so much joy
Every day I was your mother, I was grateful

Now that you’re a man, I’m proud of who you are
Respectful and kind, intelligent but humble
For me, in this life, there is no brighter star
What I aspire to be, but still I stumble

He sounds like a fine young man AtL - no doubt because of good mothering! It is a joy when we can love and relate to our children even when they have become adults. I am happy for you!

AtL, heart-felt and most lovely. RLW, is most right in the comment about "good mothering" - As you and others well know, parenting is a day by day journeying and there are no magic
recipes for success, except to try your best and love them with all of your abilities. I have 3 adult children and the parenting is never ending!

Thank you very much Tanner. Parenting is a lot of work but worth all the effort.

I try to write a sonnet and I go mad. It takes a gifted pen to do what you do, over and over again, and that is, write beautiful sonnets.

Your wonderful, loving sonnets are starting to look like Hallmark birthday cards. There must a market for the AG Sonnet series!

That's so sweet MH. Some of my poems have been selected for and put in different themed poetry books but I would like to soon publish my own books.

Fabulous lines - wonderful tribute for your son. Watching them grow up is such a joy. Oh, but we shall miss them as well, I believe.
