  • A whisper in the trees

I heard it. Carbon dioxide is a bad thing? Without it we’d be out of Oxygen.

    Thank God, that trees exhale
I’m sure they thank us back in kind
Yet when counting up the numbers
    Humans lag behind

    Seems we can’t exhale enough
With the hot air that we blow
    Can’t replace a dinosaur
So the good earth gave us coal

    Compacted over eons
    Their ancestors lay for years
Deep below the roots called evil
Let the trees all stand and cheer

To breath the air so pure
    When infused with carbon
So burn it proud my friend
The plants they have no problem

It's all about the right balance...but the beauty...that's worth preserving. Nicely done divot.

Hi, divot, I like this! It is a clever juxtaposition showing how nature is interdependent.

Mate, you monger eons, roots, God, and evil - the whole damn show - with aplomb. Gotta love the eons. Zesta!
