And yet, who could bear sobriety? Beautiful haiku pairing Grant.

I like -- jaded senses and drunk on hope again -- well said and you make it look so easy Grant. Your writing is so provocative, it challenges the mind as well as the heart!!

Yes, Grant usually challenges my feeble mind. I still like it

The lack of punctuation is so effective in allowing the reader room to interpret. Terrific!

Hey you think you might come up with poetry once? Just one time.

        Stay intoxicated!

I have a feeling, while most would stumble, and choke up drivel, your drunken stupor would yield worthy prose!

Thank you Poemahontas. Your own fine haiku pair in response is much appreciated.

This one took me a few readings to ken, grant, but effort was rewarded with understanding and poetically induced feelings of melancholy. All aptly accompanied by another sip of swill. A Bacchanalian brilliance! Skoal!

Thank you, Samuel! I'm quite surprised that this one has struck such a chord with folks. I should work 'joy', 'drunk' and 'hope' into more of my stuff
