  • Running after time

    Hours pass by,
At the speed of a cheetah.
I blink and there goes seventy minutes.

    Months have slipped,
    Right from under my feet.
I count the days on my chubby fingers.

    Minutes are like seconds,
As I can't hear the hour hand.
I try to grasp the last minute of the day.

    As the sun sets later,
It seems the days go longer,
But not long enough to hold all my goals.

Vera_Ashton yes Vera, time goes by quickly. This was a year ago and I miss you and your poetry. Top of the queue my friend.

Every time you do this Bobby, I see the name in the queue and get all excited thinking that another long-lost poet has returned to the zone. Then I read the poem and see the comments. But my disappointment doesn't last long. Thank you - for recalling these to memory.

RhymeLovingWriter , I know what you mean. It is the next best thing to having her here with us, and one day she will know how much we think of her and miss her. The universe is listening Vera.
