    Dearest Catherine

Never had I seen a rose so red
As when I saw your blushing cheeks
Never had I heard a song so pure
As when I heard your voice
Never had I felt a smoother silk
As when I touched your hands
Never had I inhaled such rare perfume
As when I smelled your breath
Never had I tasted sweeter fruit
As when I kissed your lips
Never had I lifted a burden so light
As when I carried you to our wedding bed

    Dearest Catherine,

    I am yours forever

    With undying love,

    Heather

The epitome of what a romantic poem should be... lovely... sigh.

Thank you, pipersfancy. The irony is, my first wife divorced me, because she said I wasn't romantic enough. But that's another story.

Yes, MHenry... people have different realities they live. Turns out my former husband was gay. All my friends suspected, but no one said a word... I can understand why. (That had nothing to do with the divorce actually... He was a mean SOB who enjoyed inflicting terror.) Ah— the world is awash in irony!
