  • War Or Peace

    'War' and 'Peace' are keys to worlds distinct,
    And though by my ring the two are linked,
    You cannot choose both; you must choose one
    For of worlds where both reign, I know none.

    There's no peaceful war or warring peace;
    Where one begins, the other must cease.
    Like life and death, two sides of a coin,
    Are War and Peace; 'tween them there's no join.

    (The trompe l'oeil below was sketched to accompany this poem)

      Contrasting beautifully done. Love the trompe l'oeil. I am also an artist of paint. Stunning!

        Thanks Alexandra. It's great you write and paint too. I find the two complement and feed off each other. I'll have a look at your posts! R
